No run today! Oops. I walked (at a pretty good pace) probably about 2 1/4 miles or so marking a trail for a trail walk/run on Friday. Then I went to the mini-bootcamp fitness class. Actually I picked a good day not to run because we spent a good amount of time doing speed/agility drills with a ladder.

I wasn’t really in the mood to run today, but I made myself go. And it was slow going. I don’t know why but my legs were really tired. I stopped to walk in about 3 places. Rested up yesterday (basically mooched around the house). Today, did the mini boot camp (about 45 minutes of pushups/planks, squats, lunges and other stuff like that). I didn’t do any running on Thursday and Friday. Today I did a YWCA Sprint Triathlon, and it was really fun. Well except for the bike part. That sucked! Guess I need to work on that.  It was all indoors (pool, stationary bike, treadmill) and only the actual time to complete each activity was measured (no transition timing). Waited too long to run so I didn’t have much time. I’ll get the exact distance tomorrow, but I think I ran about a mile. Time: 11:56 Distance: 1 mile?     This seems about right because I was running slightly faster than my usual pace and I usually have about a 10-12 min mile or around there for many of my runs.

Did some quick lifting today. Not a whole lot of leg stuff because my quads were sore from last night’s bootcamp (burpees!).   Then played tennis around 1pm for about 45 minutes with my mom but was really tired for some reason so it was like I was playing underwater, i.e. I barely moved and when I did it was slow. Boston Marathon (No I didn't run)
Wow, the Boston Marathon is crazy. I watched some of it on television today. I live close enough that I could have gone into Boston but that’s just way too many people for me. I get very irritated (not anxious, just irritated and pissed off) in large crowds when I have to deal with so many stupid people in one place. I did a lot of exercise today. First a mini bootcamp type class with SSFMG, then taught some tennis and then played some tennis, and then at 5 I did a swimming workshop. I was the only one for part of it so it was like getting private lessons. Pretty cool! Then the workshop morphed into a swim workout, not so cool! After all my other exercise for the day, the swimming kicked my ass!

Ran the track while I waited for the library to open. Time: 28:36 Distance: 2.25 I’m not reallly a fan of the track except for that it’s nice and soft to run on. I also didn’t have a radio or mp3 player so that sucked.

Wow, I’m really sore from yesterday’s fitness class with kettlebells. I went swimming today to try to stretch out my back muscles a little bit. I didn’t time, but I was in the pool for about 45 min or so and was stretching, swimming laps, and doing other water exercise stuff. I also semi-taught a little girl  how to do the side stroke and the breast stroke.

Distance: 2.0 miles Time: 25:34 Yeah I walked parts of it..upset stomach partway through. Okay now though. Fitness class tonight at 7:30.  Trying to figure out my schedule so I can keep lifting, which I like but not kill myself at class Mondays and Wed’s. (I usually lift Mon, Wed, Fri).

Today I did a mini-boot camp fitness session with a meetup.com group that I attend sometimes. Rob Belley ran it, and it was pretty good. It wasn’t too intense because it was just the beginner session. I’ll be doing his other fitness sessions Mondays and Wednesday’s and they are a little more advanced. I also did a quick interval run when I got home. Just about 1/2 mile in 6 min....

Today I did some weight lifting/strength training and then some cross-training by swimming (mostly breast stroke because I’m not swimming-fit enough to do lots of front crawl). I only got to do about 10:34 of it though because it took me a while to find the pool, even though I have a GPS, and the pool closed at 5:00.

You may have seen it, or you may have not. Some people have posted their Walk Scores for their neighborhoods. Mine is 31, but it’s based on Google Maps and Directory so there are several stores and other places that don’t appear on the map that would actually bump up the score.
