Tri Clinic in the A.M./ P.M. Run
I went to a Triathlon Clinic put on by C.A.A.N. Sports this morning. C.A.A.N. Sports is Candy Angle and Andy Noble, two profession triathletes. The clinic was held in conjunction with the Cohasset Triathlon, and we were lucky enough to get to swim in the same place that we’ll do it on race day.

Bike Ride

Quick Run
Did a quick tempo run up 2 hills because I was in a rush before meeting a friend for dinner.

Mini brick
Today I did a mini brick workout.
I’m not going to post the times or distances because I don’t really know. I forgot to set my watch until I was halfway through the bike. I don’t know the bike distance either.

Gotta get on the bike
Took the Huffy “mountain” bike for a ride today. To the library and back. And yes I stopped at the library in between. I had some CDs that were due tomorrow (and cost $1/day!). So I killed 2 birds…and rode the bike there to return them. Of course, I’ll make up for any gas I saved when I drive it tomorrow to figure out the mileage. I think it’s about 2 miles each way...

I never thought I’d say it, but I missed exercising. Not that I coudn’t have done some lifting or other exercise, but I just wasn’t into that this week. I finally ran today for the first time in like a week. I found the amazing stuff we used to use for blisters when i was an athletic trainer in college. Catching Up
Hiking didn’t go quite as planned as I got giant blisters from my boots. And I forgot to pack anything to deal with blisters. My bad. I did walk 10.75 miles in all. (About 6 miles getting the blisters. Then 4 miles on the road back to my car.) So now my heels are all tore up. Running wasn’t gonna happen today. So I broke out the horrible bike.

Maybe I should start calling this Triathlon instead because I do want to do one ultimately, but I’m not signed up for any yet. I’ve been trying to get some swim workouts in though.

I really hope tomorrow is warm enough that I don’t wear too many layers when I start running and then get too hot 1 mile into the run and have to leave my top layer on the corner of the street where I’ll see it on my return route. In other words—it better be warm enough so that I only feel the need to wear a t-shirt and shorts and sunglasses!

First I ran one mile at the Mt Vernon Cemetery/XC Trail with the Meetup Group (well ahead of them, most were walking it). Ran the trail today. It’s only 1 mile I found out, so I did it twice and it was 2.1. I should have done it 3 times but I was getting bored of the scenery. That will be my goal for tomorrow.
